Our story
Business in Nigeria runs on chat. Its records should too.
Every day, millions of traders, shop owners and small businesses sell on credit, take orders on WhatsApp and promise to "write it down later". Later rarely comes. Money is forgotten, debts are never followed up, and without records it's hard to plan, borrow or grow.
Bookkeeping apps exist, but most ask busy people to download something new, learn screens and fill forms. We asked a simpler question: what if your book lived where you already are?
So we built Basu on WhatsApp. Just type a message or send a voice note in Pidgin, Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo or English, the way you talk every day. Basu writes it in your book, confirms it with you, reminds you on time and politely follows up the people who owe you.

Founder, Basanu Global Solutions Ltd · Creator of BasuBabatunde Olamilekan Uthman, known to most people as Basanu, is the founder of Basanu Global Solutions Ltd, a digital agency and Shopify Expert Partner. His team helps businesses with brand development, web and app development, UI/UX design, SEO, digital marketing, AI agents and business automation.
Beyond client work, he leads the Basanu Digital Skills Initiative, a free, hands-on digital-skills programme for young people across Nigeria, and writes practical books on finding clients and turning digital skills into income.
